About Me

Hello, my name is Nataliya (Natalija Chavina)- an artist based in London and the creator behind Nataliya X artwork.

 

I have been painting since childhood, and art has always been my way to express joy, curiosity and my love for colour. I work mainly with acrylics and feel most inspired by bright, uplifting shades- especially yellow, my favourite colour.

 

My paintings currently explore three themes: birds, oceans and abstracts.

Birds have always fascinated me- their freedom and rituals remind me of my childhood dream to fly. The ocean has been close to my heart since I grew up by the Baltic Sea, and now, living in UK, I love visiting different seasides. The sound of the waves and the view of open blue-green water bring me peace, and I try to capture that feeling in my work. My abstract pieces are a space for emotion and play- where I experiment with colour, movement and texture.

 

Thoughout my art, I hope to share a sense of joy, calm and vitality.
