Peacock Head

This is my favourite painting so far, because peacock is my favourite bird and I always wanted to paint one. In order to create it I printed 20 different photographs of different peacocks to understand how the bird looks from different angles, then created a sketch and only then attempted to create a painting. Before I painted the bird, I decided to create an interesting background using bubble wrap on top of fresh green paint and then used a spray paint in white gold on top. For this reason the background of the painting is slightly shimmery and the bird pops up.

My original paintings are usually signed and dated at the front, but it is not always visible, so I also sign and date them at the back.
